Wow. What a summer that was. My normal chicken-with-his-head-cut-off routine was even more twitchy than usual. But, looking back, I think I got quite a bit done. My summer began with a catastrophic web crash. I had to zero out my site and start from scratch. Slowly, week by week, I have been adding things back.
I set up a new journal, but I haven't started posting there, just yet. Actually, I think of this as my first post. This is my new blog. Like my old site, this is intended to be the hub of my goofy little empire. This site is where my portfolio is set up. Which is slowly starting to grow back. Right now, I'm in the process of adding back some of my old drawings. It also has a forum (that isn't quite ready, so there's no link to it), a calendar, a link directory and a file sharing page. All can be accessed using the menu. My journal also has a link directory. The link directories take a lot of time, so I started those first, and plan to gradually expand them as I go.
I also created a sandbox of sorts called CSS Sandbox. It took quite a while to set up. Right now, about all I have there is a short informative article that still needs a little editing. I also added a site I created as part of a school project. It's very ambitious and basically empty, too. But, I plan to fill it in with content. I call it Home. I told you it was ambitious! I tried to cover a lot of bases there, category-wise, I even have a lyrics page. I just added a new one; the words to Flying Low, a song I wrote a long time ago, when I was first learning how to play the guitar. The lyrics were always loose, but a couple of weeks ago, I decided to nail them down.
I also added something my old domain never had, a front door. The plan is to keep a site map there, with links to all the websites I have created, and the ones I am creating here; and elsewhere. Speaking of elsewhere, I have been updating my old freebie websites; Tumblr, Blogger (I have three there), Weebly, Wordpress and Google. You'll notice I'm not linking to them here. That's because, right now, they're basically empty, too. My plan is to fill them in with duplicate content and use them as biographical outposts with links to masonoller.com.
I have a couple of other domains. I decided to start from scratch with them as well. I hope to resurrect nevermurmur.com in the near furture. That's misspelled on purpose; an inside joke I share with my editor friend, The Drunkablog, who I can't wait to build a website for...
Well, that's about all for now. I wanted to write about about my summer, but just listed some of the web stuff I've been working on. I guess that's why they call it blogging, because it never ends. Not that I want it to.
